Orders are delivered every Friday and can be placed up until 6pm the day before. We place orders with vendors days ahead of pick up so that they can plan their production, reduce waste, and give staff time to make their amazing products. This also allows us to limit our environmental impact and reduce delivery fees for you.

Owners Julia and Gregory met in New York City in the summer of 2014; They quickly discovered their shared passion for great food as they explored the culinary playground of NYC while dating. In January of 2019, they made the move to Los Angeles in search of a slower pace of living. Within days of arriving in Los Angeles Gregory became the head baker of a now famous bagel company and Julia was hustling with various bartending jobs. And then BOOM! 2020 roared in with the COVID-19 pandemic and halted employment in the restaurant industry. It was always a far-fetched dream to think they might one day open up their own business, however, this newfound period of uncertainty opened a window of opportunity. Julia bought a mixer and began making cheesecakes in their kitchen. Combining the fresh cream cheese Greg was making at the bagel shop with Julia's mom's famous Christmas cheesecake recipe gave birth to a groundbreaking cheesecake that quickly took LA by storm. They LOVE food and using our creativity to make food that brings happiness to others is the ultimate reward. THEY MAKE THEIR OWN CREAM CHEESE FROM SCRATCH. THEIR cheesecakes are real and alive and it’s this element of their cakes that truly sets us apart. The real cheese adds a depth of flavor that store bought preservative filled cheese can’t even come close to and gives our customers a truly unique indulgent experience that’s not nearly as heavy and far more nuanced than any other cheesecakes. Their cheesecake is a vacation for your mouth.

Can I order from multiple vendors in one order?
Yes! Our service allows you to order from as many vendors as you like. After selecting your region and delivery date at the top of the page, you'll be able to browse all the products that are available. Regardless of how many products or vendors you order you'll only pay the $5 flat delivery fee (there’s a $6 small order fee if your order is less than $50)
How much is the delivery fee? Are there any other fees?
The delivery fee is $5 flat, no matter how many small businesses you order from. We have no other service fees, however, there’s a $6 small order fee if your order is less than $50. There are no subscriptions, order only when you want!
Do I have to be home for the delivery?
You do not have to be home at the time of delivery - your order will be packed to stay fresh for up to 4 hours. You’ll receive a text when your order is on its way with a link to track your driver.
Do items arrive fresh or frozen?
You can click on a product to see the state that it arrives in. Most pastries are baked the same day as delivery and meals are either frozen or fresh and arrive with cooking instructions.
Can I add to my order?
Yes! You can add to your order up until the day before delivery. Just use the code ADD at checkout.
Is Locale environmentally friendly?
Yes! While we deliver from far away vendors, we batch all orders - meaning we pick up and deliver to many customers all on one driver's route. This means that your order doesn’t actually increase the amount of miles that we drive. We also reuse almost all of our packaging and you can leave boxes from your previous orders out that our drivers will pick up! Read more here.
