Orders are delivered every Friday and can be placed up until 6pm the day before. We place orders with vendors days ahead of pick up so that they can plan their production, reduce waste, and give staff time to make their amazing products. This also allows us to limit our environmental impact and reduce delivery fees for you.

Hand-crafted ice cream that’s made with love. Marianne’s has been innovating flavors and using time-honored techniques to bring the richest creamiest and most delightful ice creams to you for over 7 decades. Marianne’s is a family business, that started in 1947 with Lenore and Tom Becker who named the store after their daughters. In 1958, Sam Lieberman took over the little ice cream parlor and, with his wife Dorothy, carried Marianne’s commitment to quality forward for more than half a century. Now the third family owners, Kelly Dillon & Charlie Wilcox, were taught Sam’s secret techniques after they were hand-picked to carry on the tradition. A careful process of hand preparing their ingredients and hand mixing the flavors reflects the personal care we take every day. The team at Marianne’s is working to deliver the best ice cream and novelties they know how to make. They have more than 100 flavors in rotation and more than 250 in their recipe box. So, whether their latest experiment, or the honored standby, you know the ice cream is still made the way it has always been made — by hand, right in Santa Cruz.

Unpack your delivery full of goodies

Your box will arrive packed for freshness during the time window you select. Everything will be packed to last for a few hours in case you're not home for delivery.

Enjoy amazing food whenever you want it

Each item comes with instructions on how to store, prepare, and when to best enjoy it. Frozen or fresh, rest assured you’re going to love what you get from Locale.

Can I order from multiple vendors in one order?

Yes! Our service allows you to order from as many vendors as you like. After selecting your region and delivery date at the top of the page, you'll be able to browse all the products that are available. Regardless of how many products or vendors you order you'll only pay the $5 flat delivery fee (there’s a $6 small order fee if your order is less than $50)

How much is the delivery fee? Are there any other fees?

The delivery fee is $5 flat, no matter how many small businesses you order from. We have no other service fees, however, there’s a $6 small order fee if your order is less than $50. There are no subscriptions, order only when you want!

Do I have to be home for the delivery?

You do not have to be home at the time of delivery - your order will be packed to stay fresh for up to 4 hours. You’ll receive a text when your order is on its way with a link to track your driver.

Do items arrive fresh or frozen?

You can click on a product to see the state that it arrives in. Most pastries are baked the same day as delivery and meals are either frozen or fresh and arrive with cooking instructions.

Can I add to my order?

Yes! You can add to your order up until the day before delivery. Just use the code ADD at checkout.

Is Locale environmentally friendly?

Yes! While we deliver from far away vendors, we batch all orders - meaning we pick up and deliver to many customers all on one driver's route. This means that your order doesn’t actually increase the amount of miles that we drive. We also reuse almost all of our packaging and you can leave boxes from your previous orders out that our drivers will pick up! Read more here.
