Orders are delivered every Friday and can be placed up until 6pm the day before. We place orders with vendors days ahead of pick up so that they can plan their production, reduce waste, and give staff time to make their amazing products. This also allows us to limit our environmental impact and reduce delivery fees for you.

Rubirosa is a family-run pizzeria and restaurant on Mulberry Street in New York City. AJ Pappalardo (the son of Giuseppe Pappalardo, the founder of legacy pizzeria - Joe & Pat's in Staten Island), worked at his family’s pizzeria for years, before setting out to open his own restaurant he dreamed would become as well known as his father’s. In 2009, inspired by his 57-year-old family recipe for paper thin-crust pizza, AJ opened Rubirosa and was joined by Bari Musacchio to manage the restaurant. In 2015, AJ passed away, and his sister Maria Pappalardo, a full-time casting director who was no stranger to the family's pizza business, took on a larger role at Rubirosa to continue AJ’s vision. Now, partners Maria and Bari operate Rubirosa together and are excited to introduce Rubirosa at Home to home cooks across the country. The sauces have been carefully crafted from their signature blend of tomatoes to capture the true essence of Rubirosa. Their olive oil is hand-harvested in Sicily and is a unique partnership between the Asaro family and Pappalardos. These ingredients are the foundations of your favorite. Can I order from multiple vendors in one order?
Yes! Our service allows you to order from as many vendors as you like. After selecting your region and delivery date at the top of the page, you'll be able to browse all the products that are available. Regardless of how many products or vendors you order you'll only pay the $5 flat delivery fee (there’s a $6 small order fee if your order is less than $50)
How much is the delivery fee? Are there any other fees?
The delivery fee is $5 flat, no matter how many small businesses you order from. We have no other service fees, however, there’s a $6 small order fee if your order is less than $50. There are no subscriptions, order only when you want!
Do I have to be home for the delivery?
You do not have to be home at the time of delivery - your order will be packed to stay fresh for up to 4 hours. You’ll receive a text when your order is on its way with a link to track your driver.
Do items arrive fresh or frozen?
You can click on a product to see the state that it arrives in. Most pastries are baked the same day as delivery and meals are either frozen or fresh and arrive with cooking instructions.
Can I add to my order?
Yes! You can add to your order up until the day before delivery. Just use the code ADD at checkout.
Is Locale environmentally friendly?
Yes! While we deliver from far away vendors, we batch all orders - meaning we pick up and deliver to many customers all on one driver's route. This means that your order doesn’t actually increase the amount of miles that we drive. We also reuse almost all of our packaging and you can leave boxes from your previous orders out that our drivers will pick up! Read more here.
