Details
This burrito comes with tender chunks of pork slow cooked in a tangy, green tomatillo and serrano pepper sauce. Making this meal a spice lover's dream.
Reheating Instructions
Oven:
• Preheat oven to 400º F.
• Leave burrito in foil and place it on an oven safe tray lined with aluminum foil. • Heat in the oven for 60 minutes, rotating every 20 minutes.
• Turn oven off, remove tray from oven, and carefully unwrap burrito (it’ll be very hot). Place burrito back on tray and back in the oven to let it rest for 15 minutes; the lingering heat will give the tortilla a nice texture. This is the ideal time to melt some shredded cheese such as pepper jack or cheddar on top of your burrito.
Microwave:
• Remove foil and place burrito on a microwave-safe plate. Cover with a paper towel and microwave on high for 4 minutes. Let rest for a minute or two, flip over, and continue cooking for 3 more minutes.
• After you microwave your burrito, we recommend you place it on a preheated non-stick pan on low-medium heat and cook for at least 2 minutes, rotating every 30 seconds until golden brown or desired texture is achieved. This is an ideal time to melt some shredded cheese such as pepper jack or cheddar on top of your burrito.
NOTE: Rotating and resting will allow for the heat to distribute evenly and reach the middle of the burrito. We recommend an internal cooking temperature of 165º F.

Papalote Mission District Burritos & Salsa
Papalote Mexican Grill opened its doors on February 17, 1999, in the heart of the San Francisco Mission District. The focus of Papalote’s menu is the Mission District burrito, which celebrates their Mexican Culture and the traditions of this dynamic neighborhood. With the belief that every Mexican restaurant should have a salsa that embodies the essence of the concept we created Papalote Salsa, which fully captures our spirit; it is the culmination of nearly 50 years of family tradition, secret recipes, and culinary expertise. In 2010 Chef Bobby Flay challenged Papalote to a burrito throwdown on his show "Throwdown! with Bobby Flay". The icing on the cake was being crowned the winners of the Throwdown! Chef Flay was very gracious and he even went on to praise their beloved house salsa and proclaim it “the secret weapon”!
