For all meat lovers looking for the highest flavor-to-tenderness ratio, this 100% grass-fed steak is your best option. Serve it with a pat of butter on top for even richer decadence!

Cooking Instructions

  1. Transfer the frozen steak from the freezer to the refrigerator. Place it on a plate or in a shallow dish to catch any juices that may leak as it thaws.
  2. Allow the steak to thaw in the refrigerator for 24.
  3. If you need to defrost the steak more quickly, you can use the cold water method. Place the frozen steak in a leak-proof plastic bag and submerge it in a bowl of cold water. Change the water every 30 minutes until the steak is thawed.
  4. Alternatively, you can use the microwave to defrost the steak. Place the frozen steak on a microwave-safe dish and use the defrost setting, following the manufacturer's instructions. Be sure to use caution when using the microwave method, as it can partially cook the steak and affect its texture.
  5. Once the steak is thawed, it is ready to be cooked. Be sure to pat it dry with paper towels before cooking to remove any excess moisture.
Note: It is important to never defrost steak at room temperature, as this can promote the growth of harmful bacteria. Always thaw steak in the refrigerator, cold water, or the microwave to ensure its safety.

Stemple Creek

Stemple Creek Banner

Stemple Creek Ranch's history in Marin County began over a century ago when Angelo Poncia immigrated to the remote outpost of Fallon from his native Italy. The dairy he originally established on this land survived for three successive generations. Today, Stemple Creek Ranch is proudly run by Angelo’s great-grandson Loren, and his wife Lisa, who has reinvented the family business with a vision for raising superior quality grass-fed and finished meats. Their daughters Avery and Julianna, along with their cousins, will be the fifth generation to steward the land. Their goal is to work in harmony with Mother Nature to promote optimal biodiversity that ensures the long-term health and productivity of the ranch. They use regenerative, organic agricultural practices, which means they seek to enhance and rehabilitate their entire ecosystem by focusing on soil health and increasing carbon in the land. Most of their pastureland is Certified Organic, and their free-range beef and lamb are 100% grass-fed and grass-finished. Their animals never see a feedlot. Ever. Stemple Creek Ranch is 100% protected through the Marin Agricultural Land Trust (MALT) to ensure it will remain a productive part of the Marin County agricultural landscape forever.

Yes! Our service allows you to order from as many vendors as you like. After selecting your region and delivery date at the top of the page, you'll be able to browse all the products that are available. Regardless of how many products or vendors you order you'll only pay the $5 flat delivery fee (there’s a $6 small order fee if your order is less than $50)
How much is the delivery fee? Are there any other fees?
The delivery fee is $5 flat, no matter how many small businesses you order from. We have no other service fees, however, there’s a $6 small order fee if your order is less than $50. There are no subscriptions, order only when you want!
Do I have to be home for the delivery?
You do not have to be home at the time of delivery - your order will be packed to stay fresh for up to 4 hours. You’ll receive a text when your order is on its way with a link to track your driver.
Do items arrive fresh or frozen?
You can click on a product to see the state that it arrives in. Most pastries are baked the same day as delivery and meals are either frozen or fresh and arrive with cooking instructions.
Can I add to my order?
Yes! You can add to your order up until the day before delivery. Just use the code ADD at checkout.
Is Locale environmentally friendly?
Yes! While we deliver from far away vendors, we batch all orders - meaning we pick up and deliver to many customers all on one driver's route. This means that your order doesn’t actually increase the amount of miles that we drive. We also reuse almost all of our packaging and you can leave boxes from your previous orders out that our drivers will pick up! Read more here.
