Orders are delivered every Friday and can be placed up until 6pm the day before. We place orders with vendors days ahead of pick up so that they can plan their production, reduce waste, and give staff time to make their amazing products. This also allows us to limit our environmental impact and reduce delivery fees for you.

These swordfish steaks are sourced from San Pedro, where they are long-line caught for optimal quality and sustainability. Monterey Fish Market is committed to providing the highest quality fish and seafood the Bay Area has to offer. Swordfish is a firm and lean fish, with a rich, buttery flavor and hearty texture that makes it perfect for grilling. However, it's important to be mindful not to overcook it, as it can become tough. When prepared correctly, these swordfish steaks are sure to be a delicious and satisfying addition to any meal.

Cooking Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Brush the swordfish steaks with olive oil and lemon juice, and season them with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Add minced garlic to the olive oil and lemon juice mixture and mix well.
  4. Place the swordfish steaks on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until they are browned and cooked through. Baste the swordfish steaks with the garlic-olive oil mixture while grilling.
  5. Once cooked, use a spatula to carefully remove the swordfish steaks from the grill and transfer them to a serving platter.
  6. Sprinkle the chopped parsley over the swordfish steaks, and serve them hot with your favorite side dishes, such as roasted vegetables or rice.

Can I order from multiple vendors in one order?
Yes! Our service allows you to order from as many vendors as you like. After selecting your region and delivery date at the top of the page, you'll be able to browse all the products that are available. Regardless of how many products or vendors you order you'll only pay the $5 flat delivery fee (there’s a $6 small order fee if your order is less than $50)
How much is the delivery fee? Are there any other fees?
The delivery fee is $5 flat, no matter how many small businesses you order from. We have no other service fees, however, there’s a $6 small order fee if your order is less than $50. There are no subscriptions, order only when you want!
Do I have to be home for the delivery?
You do not have to be home at the time of delivery - your order will be packed to stay fresh for up to 4 hours. You’ll receive a text when your order is on its way with a link to track your driver.
Do items arrive fresh or frozen?
You can click on a product to see the state that it arrives in. Most pastries are baked the same day as delivery and meals are either frozen or fresh and arrive with cooking instructions.
Can I add to my order?
Yes! You can add to your order up until the day before delivery. Just use the code ADD at checkout.
Is Locale environmentally friendly?
Yes! While we deliver from far away vendors, we batch all orders - meaning we pick up and deliver to many customers all on one driver's route. This means that your order doesn’t actually increase the amount of miles that we drive. We also reuse almost all of our packaging and you can leave boxes from your previous orders out that our drivers will pick up! Read more here.
