Orders are delivered every Friday and can be placed up until 6pm the day before. We place orders with vendors days ahead of pick up so that they can plan their production, reduce waste, and give staff time to make their amazing products. This also allows us to limit our environmental impact and reduce delivery fees for you.

The Traditional Empanada is El Sur's most popular variety, made with hand-cut beef and traditional spices. Made with a beef and onion filling, seasoned with oregano, red pepper flake, pimentón, and olives. The empanadas are made with hand-cut dough and are baked until golden brown.

Reheating Instructions
Place empanadas onto a sheet pan lined with parchment paper and into a preheated 400º oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown.

A first-generation American with roots in Argentina and France, Marianne was surrounded by amazing cooks as a child, including her mom, grandmothers, and aunts. She grew up making and eating empanadas with her family. Every filling in an El Sur empanada is rooted in that history, inspired by a person, a place, or an experience that holds meaning. They put great care into offering a variety of fillings to please a variety of palates. The fillings are gently folded in delicate handmade pastry, then flash-frozen and ready to be baked at home.
